The annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Meeting is right around the corner. This year’s meeting, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the company under Buffett’s and Munger’s leadership, will be held on May 2 and is expected to draw a crowd of over 40,000.
And… I’m lucky enough to be attending this year’s meeting! I will be live tweeting the entire meeting, from Friday to Sunday, so be sure to follow me on Twitter @Vintage_Value (I’ll follow you back, too, ’cause that’s what friends are for, right?).
Besides the annual shareholder conference, the meeting will be a three-day (yes, Buffett has extended the festivities this year, adding events on Friday to what is normally only Saturday and Sunday) celebration including a picnic, a 5K fun run, and tons of shopping. This meeting is actually a huge sales event for the company: the Nebraska Furniture Mart, for example, did a little under 10% of their total sales for the year during the shareholder meeting weekend alone!
My meeting tickets package came a few days ago, so I figured I’d put up some pictures so everyone could see what people get for $214,675 a share. Check out the pictures below:
